Professional Voice Talent Get All Political at HearTheBill.org

Havens

Two of my great friends, the highly respected voice talents Diane Havens and Kathleen “Kat”Keesling have joined forces for a new web-based project at HearTheBill.org to help people understand the intricacies of the proposed Health Care Bill now before Congress so that they can better form an opinion and possibly contact their local representatives.  From the site:

We lead busy lives. We have our work, our families, our homes and our communities. Any time left to read legislation? Legislation that will directly impact you, your families and communities. Few do.

We are working voice actors, leading those same busy lives — but we are donating our time, committed to making it possible for you to hear the Health Care Bill now before Congress. We do this so that you can make an informed decision. Armed with specifics, you can then speak to your representatives empowered with the facts that make your opinion an educated one — one with weight.

We are each of us, from different political backgrounds, philosophies and regions of the country.

Keesling

We have no agenda other than to make it easier for you to know exactly what our lawmakers are proposing. Download the audio of this bill, and listen to it as you would an audiobook, whenever it’s convenient for you.

They are also looking for other professional voice talents who dig the idea and may want to volunteer their services by reading a few pages of the bill. Click the link in that last sentence to do your patriotic duty. You’re not really so busy with clients anyway that you can’t lend a hand and use your voice to possibly change the course of modern American politics in order to form a more perfect union.1

Honestly, I don’t know when we started getting all socially conscious over here at the blog but it seems to go against my upbringing.  Sorry Mom.  Please join us next week for the first post in my five part photo-essay series entitled, “Large Breasts On Young Women: How Does It Affect Their Voices?”
